Ten years ago to the month, a juvenile female Northern bottlenose whale took a wrong turn and found itself in central London, fifty five miles from the coast. For several days it was the centre of a flurry of press and public interest as a team of rescuers attempted to save the lost animal.
Join museum scientist Richard Sabin for a look back at this historic occasion, to learn about the biology of these majestic giants, and to hear about another of London's famous whales, soon to take up residency in the main hall of the museum.
