Description
Christie’s has been entrusted with selling Vivienne Westwood's estate, and ahead of the sale, many of the items will be displayed in the auction house.
Officially, a viewing for potential buyers, but in fact everyone is welcome to have a look - so a rare chance to see a lot of Vivienne Westwood designer wear in one place.
The wardrobe, which only contains garments, shoes and jewellery by Dame Vivienne Westwood’s eponymously named fashion house, is recognised as historically and culturally significant — the earliest piece coming from the Witches collection for autumn/winter 1983/84.
