Description
As part of the Horniman’s Festival of Brasil, four of Brazil’s most exciting street artists take over areas of Forest Hill, from station walls to the Horniman Gardens.
Artists
Ananda Nahu creates portraits of African women and music symbols, using bright colours and blending stencil techniques with diverse materials such as traditional fabrics of Brazil.
Binho Ribeiro has been in the street art scene since 1984 and is one of the pioneers of Brazilian street art. Strongly influenced by the natural world, his work has been exhibited all around the world.
Derlon Almeida’s work includes a mix of street art, Brazilian popular culture, wood cuts and cordel literature drawings, one of the oldest traditions in North East Brazilian culture.
Milo Tchais works with organic elements mixing nature, spirituality, music and environment. His work combines hypnotic forms with an explosion of vibrant and uplifting colours.
