Using a Super Crane AL.SK190, the largest mobile land based crane in world, Earls Court Exhibition Centres 1 & 2 in London were demolished, winning World Demolition Collaboration Award 2015 and World Demolition Project 2016. This lecture will discuss the challenges faced in a major demolition project in a residential and rail environment, including how 61 beams weighing over 15,000 tonnes collectively, were lifted over live and operational London Underground tunnels.
