A walking tour through the watery history of the area around the Angel, Islington. Spas for the taking of health-giving waters, The New River and The Regent's Canal have all played a key role in shaping this part of Islington. Find out about remarkable feats of engineering, see the well where Sadlers' Wells began and ponder mysterious 19th century graffiti.
This tour is led by an official Clerkenwell and Islington Guide.
PLEASE NOTE: Angel Tube station is closed on Saturday 20th August but we will still meet outside. Many buses stop nearby and The Angel is only a 15 minute walk from Kings Cross.
