Free FreeSince the 16th century the City of London has been home to HM College of Arms, the heraldic authority for England. A cornucopia of City institutions have been granted corporate arms since the late 14th century; the City’s arms are the oldest civic arms in the UK.
This presentation by Paul Jagger will explore the City of London’s and those of some of the ancient and modern Livery Companies in a heraldic tapestry that weaves in many stories of City lore and law.
