This event has finished Took place on: Wednesday, 30th Nov 2016

 £8

Sometimes referred to by those on the City side of the Thames as the “side of the undesirables”, this walking tour records the time when bishops, bards, and prostitutes lived and worked alongside each other.

The walk will stop at various locations including the ruin of one of London’s riverside palaces, the site of Southwark’s famous Clink prison, St Mary Overy Dock, and the many sites associated with Shakespeare.

This tour will be led by one of Southwark Cathedral’s knowledgeable guides and will last an hour and a half.
