“Anatomy Museums: Past, Present and Future” with Professor William Ayliffe, FRCS PHD
Professor Ayliffe will give an illustrated talk about the history of anatomy and dissection, from ancient attitudes to dissection (e.g. Herophilius and Eristratus) through to the more recent Organ Retention Scandal. He'll touch upon Medieval anatomy, the Church and body parts, body snatching and anatomical waxworks.
This lecture will be an incredible journey through all the different ways in which human remains have been 'seen'
