Talk and preview screening of Halfway

This event has finished Took place on: Saturday, 26th Nov 2016

 £7.50

To mark the 50th Anniversary of Shelter, we're hosting an evening of discussion about homelessness in London alongside a preview of a special screening of the documentary Halfway.

Directed by BAFTA Breakthrough Brit Daisy-May Hudson, Halfway is a moving portrait of the UK housing crisis, told through the experience of one family. Filmed over a year, Daisy-May is both director and daughter as her and her family fight to retain their dignity whilst they wait to be rehoused by the council. This is an extraordinary story of courage and determination, a story of family bonds which is both heart-breaking and life affirming, combining moments of tremendous tenderness and grit with hilarious and unexpected humour.

Following the screening we’ll be holding a Q&A panel featuring Daisy, Daniel Blake (Shelter) and one of our service users.

Food and drink available to purchase.
