Laurence Ward: Exploring the LCC Bomb Damage Maps, 1939-1945
This talk will discuss the air raids of the Second World War and the terrible damage they inflicted on both Londoners and their city, before focussing on how the damage was recorded by means of an incredible set of hand coloured maps created by the London County Council.
Laurence Ward is the Head of Digital Services at London Metropolitan Archives and the author of ‘The London County Council Bomb Damage Maps, 1939-1945’.
