Britain has had a long obsession with literary crime and punishment, and the classic writing of the 1920s and 30s has seen that period called the ‘Golden Age’.

Join Ann Cleeves, the bestselling author of BBC One's Shetland and ITV's Vera, and Martin Edwards, the Edgar prize-winning author of The Golden Age of Murder and editor of The British Library’s Crime Classics series as they discuss why murder, mystery and justice continues to be an enduring passion for readers.
