Join us as we open the doors to the busy, bustling daily life of Battersea Town Hall. Brand new archival research has uncovered a treasure trove of personal stories, anecdotes and glimpses into the lives of people who worked at Battersea Town Hall between 1893 and 1965.
Hear from postdoctoral researcher, Jonathan Hicks, and BAC’s own researcher, Miriam Sherwood, as they take us on a journey through the sounds and stories hidden in the history of the building. If the walls could talk, what would they say?
Don’t miss the special pre-event tour of the building at 5.30pm, to glimpse some of the spaces that will feature in the talk at 6pm.
