This year marks the 150th anniversary of the London Fire Brigade. Join a free tour of Brixton's fire station, itself over 100 years old. The station is the same one as in our photograph - but the appliances and uniforms have been updated!

Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.

This tour is part of the Lambeth Heritage Festival which is taking place throughout the borough during September. Pick up a brochure from a Lambeth library or download one from the Lambeth Local History Forum website: www.llhf.org.uk.
