Kenley Heritage Day

Kenley is the most complete surviving Battle of Britain fighter airfield as well as being home to some rare flora and fauna.

The Heritage Day will mark the official launch of the Kenley Heritage Project event at the Portcullis Club. Similar to previous ‘Heritage’ days, it will have the added attraction of having life size replica aircraft of both a Spitfire and a Hurricane.

In addition there will a full programme of activities during the afternoon.

Guided Heritage Walks

Display of what the Kenley Revival Project will be up to over the next three years

A nature walk – woodland and downland

IMPS – military vehicles

RAFA – Wings appeal

Model Aircraft flying by the Croydon Airport Model Aircraft Flying Club

Walk and talk through the Glider hangers – Surrey Hills Gliding Club

Refreshments – teas, coffee and bar in the Portcullis club
