The 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London falls in September – an event that is of particular interest to St Bride’s as the mediaeval church was completely destroyed by the fire. Find out more about the family church of Samuel Pepys, the famous diarist who was born nearby and baptised here, and learn how the congregation was decimated by the Great Plague in the year before the Great Fire.Visit the exhibition to learn more about the human story of St Bride’s and how it survived and thrived.
