Venus and Jupiter in close conjunction

This event has finished Took place on: Saturday, 27th Aug 2016

 Free

Venus and Jupiter, the two brightest planets in the sky, will be a mere 0.06 degrees apart at sunset.

Should combine to form an unusually bright star.

Given a clear sky, you might see Venus and then Jupiter popping out near the sunset point on the horizon around 30 to 40 minutes after sunset.

Look westward shortly after sunset for Venus and Jupiter. Note, they will be very close to the horizon and set soon after sunset, so the higher up you are the better.
