After Hours: Gruesome Tales

Join us throughout Summer, on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, to explore Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park 'After Hours'. Expect walks, talks and workshops. Every event costs £12 (or £10 concession).

Soak up the ethereal beauty of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, in an after-hours walking tour. Join members of the Cemetery Club to learn all about our buried residents, including tales of gruesome and gory deaths...

Event leaders:  The Cemetery Club was founded as an appreciation society that celebrates these often overlooked and misunderstood places. Stories can be found in these libraries of the dead: heroes and villains, inventors and actors, people who once lived, laughed, loved and cried. The Cemetery Club post a blog on their website every Monday – with Sheldon and Sam leading tours at various cemeteries throughout London. Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park is a Local Nature Reserve and a site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation. We are blessed with a wide variety of rich and well developed habitats, all within London's Zone 2. All profits raised from events and training courses go directly to the charity (The Friends of Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park) to ensure its continued success.
