To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the film’s release, join us for a screening of Hugh Hudson’s Olympic epic.
It’s 1919 and Harold Abrahams (Ben Cross), a Jewish student from Cambridge and Eric Liddell (Ian Charleson), a devout Christian, are both talented runners. Set against the backdrop of the class and religiously divided post-WWI Britain, the determined athletes face prejudice and social barriers as they race towards the 1924 Paris Olympics.
We’re delighted to be joined by producer David Puttnam and author Andy Beckett for a ScreenTalk after the film.
