Wayne Hemingway MBE, the brains behind the wildly popular Vintage Festivals, is a designer with many strings to his bow.
Co-founder of the fashion label Red or Dead and co-owner of design agency HemingwayDesign, in 2015 he turned his attention to London’s transport staff and created a new uniform for them.
In conversation with Robert Elms, writer and broadcaster at BBC London, he shares the inspirations behind the design, and the challenges he faced designing for such a large work force.
