Lamorbey & Sidcup Local History Society has organised a living history event in Sidcup High Street called Sidcup’s Great War Pageant.

It will be held on Saturday 18th June 2016 10am-4pm and its purpose is to commemorate life on the Home Front in Sidcup during WW1.

There will be street theatre, poetry readings, stalls representing local groups, songs from local schools and choirs, live music, history talks and displays.

We have just been awarded £10,000 by the Heritage Lottery Fund for a year-long project, of which the Pageant is a part.
