The Harrow Civic Centre open day will mark the beginning of the consultation process for Harrow's flagship regeneration project on the current civic centre site. It will be a fun, family-friendly event with activities, street food, dancing, music, and tours of the best bits of the iconic 70s civic building.
The new development will deliver over 800 new high quality homes (including affordable homes, private for sale and council owned private rental homes); community uses, including a new school, as well as retail and commercial space for businesses and; high quality public realm. It has the potential to transform the local area, place the borough at the forefront of regeneration practice in London, and set the standard for other development schemes in Harrow.
Stephen Taylor Architects, Sergison Bates Architects and Allies and Morrison have been appointed by Harrow Council's Regeneration Unit to develop a masterplan for the site, adjacent to Harrow and Wealdstone Station. They will be there on the day to listen to people's views on what Station Road Quarter should be like.
