New London Walking Tour - St Giles, Regent Street and Soho

This event has finished Took place on: Wednesday, 27th Apr 2016

 Free

Starting at New London Architecture, this walk investigates the effects of recent developments on the area and the benefits Crossrail will bring.

We walk our way to the West End, past the British Museum’s new extension by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, and through Renzo Piano’s mixed-use development at Central St Giles to see the progress of Crossrail at Tottenham Court Road. Our walk will explore ongoing development around Piccadilly, including a new hotel by David Chipperfield and Dixon Jones, before moving up Regent Street to discover a retrofitted cinema and narrow side-street restaurant “mall”. We will learn about the modernisation of Savile Row, before finishing by a secret hidden gem at the busy Oxford Circus.

This walk starts at NLA and finishes at Oxford Circus.
