Author Andrew Martin will speak about growing up in York; the son of a railwayman, he used his ‘Privilege Ticket’ to go on childhood jaunts to London - which instigated a lifelong interest in the Tube. Join Andrew as he mourns the passing of such romantic features as compartments, dining cars and trains with names, as well as discuss how his experiences on railways inspired his series of Jim Stringer novels. After the talk, Andrew will be signing copies of his new book, Yellow Diamond.

Food and drinks will be available at our Upper Deck bar from 18:00, with 10% off for all ticket holders to the talk.
