Free FreeOne summer night in 1882, Inspector Minahan encountered Mary Jeffries, the most infamous brothel-keeper in London. Jeffries' clients included politicians, peers and princes. She also trafficked girls overseas in a flourishing trade that exploited Britain’s lax legislation.
Demoted for reporting Jeffries’ operation, Minahan pursued his own investigation, and his findings sparked national outrage: riots, arrests, a tabloid war and a sensational trial. Join auther Bridget O'Donnell to hear more.
