As the world prepares to celebrate the 400-year legacy of Shakespeare, join us for a drinks reception and panel discussion exploring how we can ensure that Shakespeare remains relevant for a new generation of young people.
Join our panel of experts from the worlds of academia and theatre as they tackle the tricky subject of engaging new generations in Shakespeare. Our Performing Shakespeare competition seeks to engage children with Shakespeare through performance rather than by reading alone - but are there other ways to ensure the Bard’s legacy endures?
The panel will include Carol Rutter, professor of English at the University of Warwick and director of the CAPITAL Centre in collaboration with the RSC, and Ben Crystal, actor, author and producer.
