This event has finished Took place on: Saturday, 30th Jan 2016

Join the Friends of Crystal Palace Subway at the East Dulwich Picturehouse for the screening of their new documentary 'What remains, the ruined subway at Crystal Palace', which highlights the passion the SE London community have for the subway, and charts how their involvement is integral to the history of the subway.

About the Friends of Crystal Palace Subway

The Crystal Palace Subway is a Grade II listed Victorian subway that sits hidden under the A212 in South London. It used to link the Crystal Palace High Level train station to the Crystal Palace, until Crystal Palace burnt down in 1936.

Friends of Crystal Palace Subway, a co-ordinated community led initiative completely run by volunteers, began in 2010 to make the subway safe, and reopen it to the public. FCPS are working with land owners Bromley Council, and Southwark Council to reinstate access, both of whose borders it sits. The documentary screening is part of a £10,000 fundraising campaign to reopen the subway.
