London’s streets and roads enable 28 million journeys every day and are therefore vitally important places in their own right. Ensuring successful management of the road network, and urban mobility, is about enabling London to function.
With London’s economy and population continuing to grow apace, what are the future strategies in place for delivering a successful road network that will serve future generations? What sort of London do we aspire to and how do we get there?
This free NLA breakfast talk is the first event in the series ‘Streets Ahead: The Future of London’s Roads’ coinciding with the major NLA exhibition. Picking out key themes of the exhibition, this event will look at what we need from London’s streets, the challenges to their use, design and management in the future.
