Toast in the Tree! Dance round the orchard! Cider for your singing, cider for your soul! Stoop through the Hobbit Hole and enter the underground chamber for stories from Tolkein: caves, adventures and dragons. This ancient ritual from Middle Earth ensures our trees will fruit, and we ask you once again – and since time long ago – to join the Butler of the Feast, the Wassail Queen and the Green Man in singing the Wassail Carol.
This is the last chance to stoop through the Hobbit Hole as the new doorway opens next month.
Through the evening, Piccalilli from Surrey Docks Farm will be serving hearty, warming stews served with their artisan breads. There will be a meat option and a veggie option.
