Description

The 2015 exhibition features Waterloo and the role of the Foot Guards in it, especially Hougoumont Farm.

The Exhibition shows images of Hougoumont Farm and some of the actions that took plate there. One case has artifacts that have been dug up from the battlefield of Waterloo over the years, another case has images of those troops that were at the occupation of Paris which include Dutch, British, Russian, Prussian etc.

To commemorate the bicentenary of Waterloo, the National Army Museum have partnered with The Guards Museum on a temporary exhibition which looks at how the Battle was fought and won. Rarely seen objects from NAM will feature alongside The Guards Museum's permanent collections to tell the stories of the regiments, the soldiers, their families and the legacy they left behind.
