Naomi Alderman’s latest novel The Power is science fiction story set in a world where women have the power to inflict extraordinary pain at the click of their fingers and what happens when the tables are turned and the power to hurt is in women’s hands. Published in late 2016 to critical acclaim, The Power is set to be turned into a global TV series by the producers of ITV’s Broadchurch. Alderman is also the co-producer of Zombie Run, the running app based on a zombie story which has been downloaded more than 3 million times.
Presenter of the Radio 4 programme Inside Science, Adam Rutherford  is the author of A Brief History of Everyone who Ever Lived: The Stories in Our Genes and Creation: The Origin of Life / The Future of Life. He is a regular contributor to the Guardian as well as presenting science shows on BBC2 and working as scientific advisor to Björk’s movie Biophilia Live, World War Z, The Secret Service and Ex Machina.
