UCL Urban Laboratory will host the launch of Architecture Sans Frontières UK (ASF-UK) report on the impact and threats to the community around the Euston area of London vis-a-vis the foreseen expansion of Euston station to make space for the new High Speed 2 rail line and terminus.
The report has been developed using participatory design and planning methods as a means to explore people's understanding of and visions for the area, published following a workshop run by ASK-UK in September 2014.
The launch is an opportunity to bring together different actors and stakeholders active in Euston, as well as architecture/planning practices who have engaged in local change in other areas of London, and are interested in discussing what the existing and potential avenues for meaningful citizen participation in this type of processes consist of. The event will begin with a panel and be followed by drinks.
