Revealing Local History: London

This Wikipedia edit-a-thon allows those taking part to edit Wikipedia articles using Victoria County History (VCH) and British History Online (BHO) materials to enhance local history articles. During the event VCH editors will reveal the mysteries of the archives through the VCH volumes. Digitising these volumes and making them freely available on BHO increases their exposure and introduces new ways of discovering content via search. Using these texts as source material for Wikipedia articles is the natural progression of this process. Training is provided and parallel events take place across London, Leicester and Gloucester. This event is part of the School of Advanced Study event series 'Hidden & Revealed'.

As our Festival events are free, not everyone who asks for tickets comes to our events. To make sure we have a full house we allocate more tickets than there are seats. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. Admission is on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive in good time for the start of the event.
