Better known for its sunny beaches and laid-back atmosphere, Jamaica is also home to some stunning Georgian architecture that tells the tale of its colonial past. This is your chance to discover the significance of these buildings in Jamaica’s recent history, as you enjoy some rum punch and traditional Jamaican patties. The talk will be given by Douglas Blain of the Friends of the Georgian Society of Jamaica, and will focus on the Society’s research into buildings and artefacts surviving from the Georgian era and its work to restore them over the past 20 years. The talk will start at 7pm.
