A showing of the silent film recently restored from a Bologna archive, made over a hundred years ago by Francesco Bertolini, Adolfo Padovan and Giuseppe De Liguoro, and inspired by Gustave Doré’s engravings. There will be a brief introduction by Dr. Alessandro Scafi.
Part of the Dante Festival. The festival is a collaboration between our very generous host and supporter, the Italian Cultural Institute in London, and UCL Library Special Collections, UCL Italian Department in the School of European Languages, Culture and Society, The Warburg Institute, and St. Giles-In-The-Fields church.
