Using screenings of past productions, prompt books, costume ‘bibles’, programmes, production images and press reviews, Archive Learning Days explore key National Theatre productions and performance genres.
Discover four different NT productions of King Lear, from Sam Mendes’ 2014 production with Simon Russell Beale to David Hare’s 1986 production with Anthony Hopkins. Students will investigate how different directors have interpreted Shakespeare’s text and brought it to life on stage.
Includes a screening of the 2014 production.
