Often considered the poor relation of their great ape cousins, gibbons have received considerably less attention than other mammals, despite the fact that the rarest ape in the world is the Hainan gibbon. Join Professor Helen Chatterjee MBE as she celebrates these charismatic apes, shares their evolutionary history and investigates our relationship with them and the efforts now being undertaken to conserve these beautiful but rare primates.
The talk is free and is followed by a free wine reception at the Museum.
