An Atheist's Vision of Death

This event has finished Took place on: Sunday, 25th Oct 2015

 Free

Bowed over by statues of softly weeping angels, many of the graves in Brompton cemetery bear the inscriptions 'Called to God' or 'Fell Asleep in God', but have their occupants been duped? Have their souls indeed ascended to a higher plane of existence or do their corpses merely lie rotting in the damp earth?

Renowned philosopher and humanist AC GRAYLING will cross deep into enemy territory and join us at Brompton chapel to present the case for atheism. Atheism is not just a negation of religion, but in the form of naturalism or humanism is a value system in its own right. Drawing on 2,500 years of non-religious thinking dating back to Socrates, Professor Grayling invites us to live the chosen life rather than one imposed on us by doctrine and dogma.

Tickets £12 including a Hendrick's Gin Cocktail.
