How Buddhism Views Happiness

This event has finished Took place on: Tuesday, 20th Oct 2015

 Free

In the UK today one in six people suffer from depression or anxiety disorders. We enjoy a high standard of living but happiness is often illusive. What insights does the Tibetan Buddhist tradition have to share about the pursuit of happiness and how does it define happiness? How might the practice of meditation contribute towards a happier life and how integral is the religious or spiritual dimension of this practice?

Khenpo Sodargye is a Buddhist scholar and teacher.

Lord Layard is Emeritus Professor of Economics at LSE.

LSE Faith Centre (@LSEFaithCentre) is home to LSE's diverse religious activities, our acclaimed interfaith programme, and a reflective space for all staff and students.
