Guildhall Library is the library of London History. The collection - over 200,000 titles dating from the 15th to the 21st centuries - covers all aspects of life in London, past and present, its trade, people and buildings.
Highlights include Shakespeare’s First Folio, John Stowe’s topographical study of London and a chained 16th century bible. It has a number of specialist collections including, the Pepys Collection, Lloyds Marine Collection, and over 10,000 books on wine and food.
The visit will include a talk by one of the librarians, a tour behind the scenes of the stores and a look at some of the more special items in the collection.
