This event has finished Took place on: Friday, 18th Sep 2015

 Free

Senior pupils from Christ’s Hospital, Horsham, led by the School’s famous Band will parade through the City on Friday, 18 September.

Wearing their distinctive Tudor uniform, the pupils, accompanied by the City Police, will march from the Church of St Andrew, Holborn at approx. 12.30pm to Guildhall where they are guests of the Lord Mayor Locum Tenens, Alderman Sir David Howard. They will march past Christ’s Hospital’s former site in Newgate Street, where the School was situated for 350 years before moving to Horsham, West Sussex in 1902.

This annual tradition celebrates St Matthew’s Day, the day on which the School thanks their governors and the City for their generosity and continued support.

Entry to the Church of St Andrew and Guildhall is by invitation only.
