To celebrate SpaceVR’s launching a virtual reality camera to the International Space Station, the OPEN SPACE AGENCY (OSA) is holding an inaugural event exploring current state of the art in democratising space exploration.

Over the past few years, social media has allowed people to reconnect with space exploration. A new generation has discovered the joy and elation of audacious mission concepts as Curiosity, Rosetta, Dawn and New Horizons have delivered to our smartphones near real-time images from across the solar system, creating an interest in space not seen since the Apollo Moonshots. Meanwhile live-tweeting Astronauts, guitars on the ISS and the promise of space tourism have made space feel more accessible than ever.
