Tibet Relief Fund is hosting an exhibition of photos of the Tashi Lhunpo monastery in south India.
Geoff Harris, the photographer, recently travelled to the monastery and spent a week photographing the Tibetan Buddhist monks and their activities.
His shots paint a vivid picture of monastic life; debating sessions, cooking and Losar celebrations are just a few activities you can see in Geoff's photos.
Two of the Tashi Lhunpo monks will be present at the exhibition on Friday, creating a sand mandala. Six monks will come back on Saturday to finish the mandala and then destroy it in the canal nearby in a traditional ritual. This is an event not to be missed!
The exhibition and mandala will be open from 10am – 5pm on Friday and 12pm – 4pm on Saturday, aiming for the monks to destroy the mandala around 3.30pm.
