This one-off special walking tour with the Landscape Institute explores how London's landscape was influenced by the needs of the population for supply of food and water.
This tour follows one London drover's route from the Royal Agricultural Hall on Upper Street, Islington down to Smithfield in the City of London via St John’s Street and Cowcross Street.
You will see how London's landscape was influenced by the delivery and processing of food, the need for fresh water and how this not only made an impact on the design of London, but also created a whole series of crafts and trades.
Your guide is Paul Lincoln, Deputy CEO of the Landscape Institute and City of London Guide.
