Fancy a merlot with your meal worms or chianti with your crickets?
Deciding which wine to pair with your insect dish may not be your standard Friday night, at least not yet! Join us to explore the growing appetite for insect eating while enjoying specially paired complementary wines.
Entomophagy, or insect eating, is a practice popular with 2 billion people worldwide. Being high in protein, low in saturated fat and more environmentally friendly to produce than meat - insects are a nutritious and sustainable food source. Learn more from our Museum scientist before putting your sommelier skills to the test with our visiting wine expert.
There will be two sessions held during the evening and tickets must be purchased for a specific timeslot. Please arrive at the Restaurant 10 minutes before the start time.
You will be matching a minimum of three wines and three insects during the event.
Two timeslots available: 18:45-20.00 OR 20:30-21:45
