In the year 1666 on 2 September, a fire broke out in a bakers shop along Pudding Lane; burning for 5 days, it turned 3/4 of the City into ash. 1/4 of the City remained untouched by the fire, its churches and buildings survived.
Although many of these have long gone with the passage of time, some of the original and oldest churches in London have survived into the 21st century, and its these which we will visit on this walk, hear their stories and remember those which have long disappeared from our streets.
