Arnold Circus was designed as the centrepiece of the Boundary Estate, the first publically funded social housing scheme in the country. Conceived by the LCC Architects department in the late 19th century, the estate featured a terraced garden space at its centre, with a bandstand on top.
The Friends of Arnold Circus long campaigned for its restoration and with substantial funding from English Heritage, the community with a team led by LDA Design set about its renewal.
Discover more at this breakfast event which will tell a short story of the site; its history, the issues it faced and the transformation into a garden that is now used by all, and once again the focus for all kinds of events, big and small.
Included in the ticket is coffee and pastries during the talk.
Ticket price: £5 with all proceeds donated to the Friends of Arnold Circus
