This illustrated talk by Dorian Gerhold will examine the mansions and villas which were an important feature of Putney from the 15th-19th centuries.
Usually belonging to wealthy Londoners, both the buildings and their occupiers tell a story of a Putney that is gone. Dorian Gerhold was the editor of Putney and Roehampton Past and has written other books about the history of Putney and Wandsworth.
