Free FreeChina has 300 million people under the age of 30, but little is known about them. What are their thoughts when it comes to life, love and more specifically sex? To mark the launch of Jemimah Steinfeld’s debut publication, Little Emperors and Material Girls: Sex and Youth in Modern China, Steinfeld will be in conversation with Chinese-British novelist and film-maker Xiaolu Guo, author of A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers, Twenty Fragments of a Ravenous Youth and I Am China, about the more intimate sides of China.
Steinfeld has written for CNN.com and Time Out amongst other publications. She studied Chinese at SOAS, and has lived and worked in Shanghai and Beijing.
The two will talk about the more intimate aspects of Chinese culture defining the next generation. Join them for a spirited discussion, followed by a book signing and drinks reception.
