EVENING LECTURE: Learn about the Mirza Akbar Drawings in a lecture by Dr Moya Carey, Iran Heritage Foundation Curator for the Iranian Collections, Victoria and Albert Museum.
The V&A's magnificent collections of Iranian art include the unique archive of nineteenth-century architectural drawings associated with Mirza Akbar, acquired by Caspar Purdon Clarke in Tehran. The drawings show the lively variety of structural and decorative ideas in Qajar architecture, and also suggest how designs were applied in practice.
