Recent attempts to broaden the remit of business from a pure profit motive have tended towards these two traditional approaches: voluntary measures or state regulation. The problem with both these methods is that they attempt to impose virtue on markets after the point of sale. ‘In it Together’ argues that social goals need be part of how and why we do business, rather than an afterthought.

This event will discuss the report’s conclusions, exploring what a fruitful relationship between an incoming Labour government and business should look like.
